Maharashtra Public Service Commission conducts exams for basically three categories:


  • Class 1(Graduates below 33 years of age)

Each continuing the selection procedure of Competitive Exams organized by MPSC, one has to follow different procedure of selection. These procedure includes written exams , preliminary as well as Mains.


In the selection procedure the candidate have to first clear the preliminary, in order to face or go to the second round of selection that is "Mains".The MPSC exams carries in two steps:


The Preliminary Exam: It includes two papers of each having different subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Indian History, Zoology, Botany etc along with General Studies.


The Main Exam : It constitute both compulsory subjects (like Marathi, English , General Studies )as well as Optional subjects. The Optional subject is chosen by the candidates itself.
