One of the most lucrative career option in India is Banking Jobs. Banking sector in India is a major sector which follows the steps of development with Indian Economy. The average growth rate of Indian Banks is about 30% per annum. Whether it is private sector banks or public sector banks both are tasting the flavour of success at equal rate. But from Indian perspective, government jobs are always preferable. Getting a chance in public sector banks is not a task of cutting a piece of cake, it needs full dedication, concetration and hard labour. If a candidate has these qualities then they are easily suitable for Banking Jobs in India.
From last few years widening of banks generate a tremendous amount of vaccancies. Also, sixth pay commission is making more profitable for any youth to lead a happy and cheerful life. RBI(Reserve Bank of India) is mother for all banks which are operated from India, and this makes the Indian Banks to earn healthy profit and be stable.
To get a chance in public sector banks, you must have certain qualities:dynamic, hard working, instant decision maker, smart, good communication skills etc. Apart from these an individual have to be an under-graduate or graduate and above 18 years of age. There are two types of banking jobs available for freshers, namely – clerical jobs and PO(probationary officer) jobs.
IBPS(Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is a governing body for managing banking exams in India. It arrange both clerical as well as PO exams. These exams are conducted two times in a year and in two phase: CWE(Common Written Examination) and PI(Personal Interview). Firstly, one has to face written examination and after clearing it you can proceed for PI which final round. After clearing CWE, IBPS will provide you a score card which is valid for one year, then you will be called for PI from various banks which came under IBPS. There are eighteen public banks under IBPS and SBI take its individual exam.
Both levels of IBPS exam have equal difficulty rate. For written examination you should follow syllabus upto higher secondary school level. Common sections for CWE are:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning
- English Language
- Computer Knowledge
For PI you must have good communication skills, sound knowledge about banks and its procedure of working, leadership qualities, quality to upgrade themselves etc. Do labour hard seriously because 8 to 12 months are enough for clearing such exams. Give more imphasis on current affairs and read a news paper regularly. Go for it from today to lead a respective life in society.
